Juventus to compete with Brighton for De Zerbi’s signature

The former Sassuolo boss terminated his deal with Shakhtar Donetsk and is in talks with Brighton for penning a contract, but recent reports claim that he rejected their offer. Moreover, Bianconeri are also keen on acquiring his services.

Roberto De Zerbi

ended his deal with

Shakhtar Donetsk

on mutual consent after Russia invaded Ukraine and the war started. Although

Brighton

are eager to get his signature and acquire his services, the 43-year-old has rejected their offer out of respect for Sinisa Mihajlovic, who departed Bologna recently.

Brighton have to find a replacement for Graham Potter after his departure. He joined Chelsea this month following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel. According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Brighton are not in a rush to find a permanent successor for Potter, but their negotiations with the Italian coach are still continuing.

Based on reports from Sportmediaset, the Bianconeri are also eyeing the manager as they are on the lookout for a replacement for Massimiliano Allegri, due to a poor start to the season. He has only delivered two victories from eight matches across all competitions since the start of the 2022-23 campaign. His contract is due to reach its end in June 2025 and based on recent reports, De Zerbi attracted the Bianconeri’s attention if they decide to dismiss Allegri.

Juventus

plan to lock horns with Monza on Sunday, which is going to be their final game before the start of the September international games.
