Trippier and Saint Maximan react to the Manchester City draw

Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva rescued a draw for Manchester City after the hosts stormed into a two-goal lead.

Manchester City

and

Newcastle

shared the points as a

dramatic six-goal thriller

in the Premier League ended level at St James’ Park.

Kieran Trippier after the match told Sky Sports:

“It shows how far we’ve come from January, we’ve taken big steps in a short time.

"I would sacrifice everything for my team. I want to win but I am not the type of player to hurt anybody. I was speaking to Kev after the game and I apologized for it but it’s my team and I want to win.”

Saint-Maximin told Sky Sports after the match:

“The future is bright for Newcastle. If we keep playing this level I think we can win a lot more games.

“I improve a lot, the way I play. I listen a lot to my friend. Trippier plays in a very good club, he plays for the England national team and he helps me a lot. So I just try to give my best, to try to play with my quality – to show to the world what I am capable to do.”
