Nagelsmann: There is no reason to change anything

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann says he is looking forward to facing Wolfsburg manager Niko Kovac.

Bayern Munich

will face

Wolfsburg

on Sunday in the

Bundesliga

. Wolfsburg manager Niko Kovac was Bayern’s manager in the 2018-2019 season.

“I don’t have any private contact with him, so I can’t assess him very well. From what I saw, he’s an emotional coach. I wish him every success with Wolfsburg, not necessarily on Sunday, but in the games that will follow,”

Nagelsmann told reporters in his press conference.

Bayern's manager also praised Marcel Sabitzer for his development.

“His recent development is good. He has great quality. He is very important defensively for us, is a very good counter-pressing player, and also prevented a few counterattacks in Frankfurt. He’s a lot more confident now and very popular in the team,”

Nagelsmann said.

Bayern won 6-1 away from home against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend and Nagelsmann says he is not planning to make any changes to his team.

"As a coach, when changing something, there are two things to consider - performance and workload management.

"At the moment, there's no reason to change anything. We've tried to make early substitutions in the last couple of games.

"Everyone in the squad is important, that's self-explanatory. But I'm not expecting to change the line-up unless something extraordinary happens."
