Morata likely to stay at Atletico Madrid despite Juventus interest

It is likely that Alvaro Morata will stay with Atletico Madrid for next season.

Spanish newspaper Diario AS reports that at the moment

Alvaro Morata

is 99 percent sure of staying with

Atletico Madrid

and Diego Simeone has been impressed with his performances in pre-season training.

calciomercato.com

recently claim that Max Allegri wants

Juventus

to resume talks with Atletico over the transfer of Morata.

Morata joined Juventus from Atletico two years ago on a loan deal and Juventus could make the move permanent if they paid €35m but they were not willing to pay that amount and could not reach an agreement with Atletico over a reduced fee.

Morata returned to Madrid and already enrolled his children in a school and moved house but Juventus reportedly wants to try one more time to see if they can reach an agreement with Atletico.

The 29-year-old Morata in his second spell in Juventus scored 32 goals in 92 games. Morata's first spell with Juve was from 2014 to 2016. He scored 27 goals in 93 games and helped Juve to win back-to-back league and cup Doubles.

Morata returned to Real Madrid in 2016 and later joined Chelsea in 2017. He joined Atletico in 2018 with a loan deal that later become permanent.
