Chelsea keen on penning with Kimpembe and Ake

Nathan Ake

as de Ligt is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich.

The Blues are eyeing PSG centre-back Kimpembe after they boosted their defensive options when they greed a €40m (£33.8m) fee with Napoli for Kalidou Koulibaly.

Tuchel is eager to sign three centre-backs and Boehly, has gone swiftly in negotiations with Napoli over Koulibaly. The 31-year-old agreed terms on a four-year contract and it will soon be announced. Chelsea are also hoping to pen a contract with Nathan Ake from Manchester City this week.

The Blues boss wants to add depth to his defence after Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger departed the club when their contracts expired. Moreover, when Bayern Munich started eyeing Chelsea’s biggest target this summer, Matthijs de Ligt, the manager become very frustrated. Therefore, signing Koulibaly is a relief.
