Victor Osimhen on his future at Napoli: "I want to stay at the club"

A transfer target for Arsenal Victor Osimhen expressed his desire to remain at the Partenopei and progress under Luciano Spalletti.

Spalletti's future with

Napoli

is also in doubt after a sign demanding his departure was hoisted outside the club's venue. Osimhen's strong play at Napoli this season has seen him linked with numerous big

Premier League

teams.

Nigerian striker Osimhen, on the other hand, expressed his desire for both himself and the former Inter coach to remain at Napoli.

“Spalletti is a top manager and, along with his staff, they really helped me to improve my movement,” Osimhen told Radio Kiss Kiss. “I hope to stay and continue on this road with the manager in the next few years.”

This season, Napoli came close to maintaining a championship bid and, with seven games remaining, seemed to be the form club among the Scudetto contenders.

However, they lost their next three games and fell behind. However, Osimhen was sidelined for two months early this season due to a fractured cheekbone, and his absence hampered their season.

“For a few months now, I’ve felt completely fine,” Osimhen said when asked about his injury. “The doctors tell me I can even go on the pitch without a mask.

“I want to end the season as well as possible and can promise fans we will fight for the Scudetto next season.”

This season, Osimhen netted 13 goals in 24

Serie A

appearances for Napoli.
