Barcelona will compete for La Liga title next season - Alba
Barcelona had several signings in winter and it is expected that they will have numerous signings in summer.
The Blaugrana had a poor start to the season and the situation was expected to be disastrous for them, but they were able to stay on track in the previous weeks and get acceptable results. Barca won 2-1 against
Real Betislast night with Alba's last minute goal, and Xavi side's presence in the Champions League next season was confirmed. Xavi hopes to finish the season in second place and Alba is confident that they will compete for the championship next season.
He said:
“We’ve improved but we’re too late to win the league. Barcelona must fight for everything.
“We have to win La Liga next year, there’s a team and staff here to do it.
“The goal is to finish second and go to the Super Cup. We already have the Champions League secured.
“Playing as we are now, we can compete with Madrid. But the most consistent team wins the league and they deserve to win it.”
