Gabby George called up by England in star players’ absence
England has called Gabby George since captain Leah Williamson, Alex Greenwood and Lotte Wubben-Moy were ruled out of the qualifier cash against North Macedonia on Friday.

, who was chosen as to wear the captain armband permanently, has gone to Skopje but will not be part of the
World Cupqualifier on Friday. She has missed training earlier this week to take precaution for the concussion protocol following her assessment after
Arsenal’s game on the weekend.
Greenwood and Wubben-Moy did not travel, and Greenwood went back to Manchester City to rehabilitate for her knee problem whereas Wubben-Moy went to Arsenal to work on her thigh issue.

has got her first Lionesses call after the qualifying in 2019 for the World Cup, having departed the WU23 squad, who had games against the Netherlands this week, to answer the call for senior team.
England are eager to resume their unbeaten start to Group D in their battle against
North Macedonia, with the game coming on Friday.
