Police stars investigation over death threats to Bayern Munich stars

Three Bayern Munich players have been threatened with death by unknown individuals.

reports that a strange and unexpected thing has happened in German. They reported that the German police is investigating a threatening letter addressed to the three

Bayern Munich

stars and is looking for the sender of this letter. The letter was addressed to

Robert Lewandowski

,

Manuel Neuer

and Serge Gnabry and was sent to the second-tier outfit FC St. Pauli on 12 January.

According to Bild, the letter was headed with the words "Save the league, save football, fire and death to the dirty Bavarian pigs", and the subject of threat were Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry and Manuel Neuer.

Hamburg police spokesman said:

"We are investigating on suspicion of a threat and disruption of public peace through the threat of criminal offences. We are examining the background."

The letter was sent to the German Federal Police and they intend to check the DNA and fingerprint of the sender or author.

The German Football Association has also claimed that it has received threats against football referees.
