Leah Galton and Marc Skinner as player and manager of the month
The Manchester United winger has received the Barclays WSL player of the month award for January, while the manager has been named the manager of the month once again.
This has been the second month in a row that
Manchester United
have grabbed both individual WSL awards, with
Marc Skinner
being named the manager of the month in December as well. Player of the month for December was named Ella Toone.
January was the month United won both WSL matches to go further in the title race and reach a spot for the Champions League.
In their two league games, United met the target eight times without conceding due to their rich vein of form.
They started the month with a 5-0 victory over the Birmingham side.
Leah Galton
performed impressively in that game since the beginning, scoring a brace and providing an assist in the first 20 minutes of the game.
He then netted in the following outing as well. Despite struggling with injury setback during the end of the last season, she has returned to her best form this season.
United will lock horns with
Manchester City
on Sunday in another WSL match.
