Olivier Giroud reflects on his goals at Milan

Milan striker has set his mind on winning the 2022 Scudetto with the Rossoneri.

The Derby della Madonnina is set to kick off on Saturday at 17.00 GMT between

Milan

and the Serie A leaders,

Inter

.

With

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

reportedly out of action due to Achilles tendon problem, the French striker

Olivier Giroud

has a chance to start against the Nerazzurri.

“I admired Andriy Shevchenko and Ibrahimovic, but I haven’t told Zlatan that yet… He was already a top player at the age of 20, my friends gave me his jersey as a gift. Maybe I’ll get him to sign it…”

Giroud said in an interview with StarCasinòSport.

The France international also reflected on his goal at Milan, saying the primary objective is to win the Scudetto.

“My primary objective is to win the Scudetto with Milan in 2022, then whatever comes after that is a bonus.

“Of course we believe in the Scudetto. Now we have an important game with Inter and a win would be a good opportunity to be in there to the end. I played and scored in my first London derby against Tottenham, I knew what it meant to the Arsenal fans.”

Giroud joined

Arsenal

in 2012 and made 253 appearances before leaving the Gunners to join

Chelsea

in 2018.

Quizzed on the differences between former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Milan tactician Stefano Pioli, the 35-year-old added:

“Wenger was a very experienced and very, very calm coach. He rarely got angry or raised his voice. On the other hand, Pioli puts so much passion into it, I really like his temperament. He likes to shout to get us motivated.”
