Leicester’s clash against Norwich was postponed

Covid-19 keeps forcing the Premier League clashes to get postponed.

Leicester City’s

clash against

Norwich City

has been postponed as the Foxes were hoping to keep their good form by gaining another victory after their stunning win against

Liverpool

. Norwich has been in a bad situation this season, and now with the strike of Covid-19 cases added to the injuries, they couldn’t prepare themselves for their New Year’s Day clash against Leicester.

Norwich had asked the Premier League to postpone the game because they weren’t able to collect a team and now they have talked about the matter in a statement insisting that the postponement was

"after PCR test confirmation of positive COVID-19 results and injuries"

in their squad.

The Canaries clash against the Foxes has been the first Premier League clash to be postponed in the new year after a series of postponed games in December.

"Those individuals who have returned a positive COVID-19 test result are completing a period of self-isolation, as per Premier League protocols and government guidelines,"

Norwich added in a statement

.

"The club regrets any inconvenience caused to Leicester City and both sets of supporters."
