Mourinho wants Arsenal star in January window

The English star is very close to appearing in the Italian capital.

Roma

are close to signing

Arsenal

star

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

and transferring him on a permanent deal.

Jose Mourinho plans to prepare his team for the second half of the winter transfer window, and the Arsenal midfielder could make a special contribution to Special One's team. According to Sky Sports, the player's versatility has made the Portuguese coach to put special pressure on the club to transfer him.

Maitland-Niles can play as a midfielder, winger and full-back. Roma are hoping to finalize his transfer and the English star will be able to return to action on January 6, when the winter break ends, but he has recently contracted Covid-19 and will not be able to leave England until he has fully recovered.

Roma are said to be paying Arsenal between € 500,000 and € 700,000 for the first half of the season, and there will be a € 10m buy-out clause in the deal.

Although Arsenal are asking for more money for this period, this may lead to a breakdown in the agreement between the two sides.
