Verratti will be sidelined for three weeks

PSG’s Italian midfielder Marco Verratti will be sidelined for the next three weeks.

PSG’s

Italian midfielder

Marco Verrati

is going to be sidelined for another three weeks suffering from a muscular injury after watching his side’s 2-1 defeat in the Champions League against

Manchester City

, for which he was expected to be available.

The Italy international played for the Parisians in their 3-1 victory in Ligue 1 on November 20 after his recovery from a hip injury which wasn’t his first injury, as he had already missed the beginning of the season with a knee injury.

And now, his latest injury occurred in a training session on Tuesday, and the reports suggest that he is suffering from a lesion to the quadriceps, forcing him away from the action for three weeks. He has been struggling with different fitness issues for some time now, making only eight appearances for Paris Saint-Germain this season, and has also missed both of Italy’s clashes in the Qatar World Cup qualification games against Switzerland and Northern Ireland.

Verratti’s absence has not been the Ligue 1 giants’ only issue this season as they have been struggling with multiple fitness issues since the beginning of the season, with their stars missing games with injuries on different occasions.
