‘Kessie wants €9m salary from Milan’ – Di Marzio

AC Milan have reportedly raised Frank Kessie’s contract to €6.5m, but the midfielder demands around €9m in order to stay at the club.

Milan

and

Kessie

are at a stalemate with the player's contract extension, with the club believing they have made their finest offer. According to reports, the midfielder and his agent are still asking for more money, so the club may begin to look for replacements in preparation for the Ivorian's exit.

Kessie’s current contract expires in June 2022 and Milan want to move in advance in order to avoid repeating the situation that occurred with

Gigio Donnarumma

and

Hakan Calhanoglu

.

According to Sky Sport Italia pundit

Gianluca Di Marzio

, Milan has offered €6.5m plus bonuses per season.

However, it’s still a long way off the player’s demand, which is closer to €9m per season.

There seems to be no doubt about Kessie’s desire to stay at Milan. The player has repeatedly declared that he is very attached to the Rossoneri jersey and imagines his future at San Siro for many years to come. Now it’s up to the management to reach an agreement on the contract renewal.
