Hojbjerg asks Eriksen and Christensen about life under Conte
Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has revealed he asked for advice from his Danish teammates on life under Spurs’ new manager Antonio Conte.
The
Denmark international revealed he has spoken with
Inter’s
Christian Eriksen
and
Chelseadefender
Andreas Christensen
about what life is like under
Antonio Conte
.
“Obviously I knew him, like the rest of the world, but not personally,”
he told
TV3.<em>
“I talked about him with Christian Eriksen, who had him at Inter, and with Andreas Christensen, who crossed paths with him at Chelsea.”
Conte has had a short time to work with his new players, with his permit to work in the UK only confirmed hours before the
Vitesse
win, but Hojbjerg believes the Italian is already starting to make an impact.
“Now with Conte the moment looks positive, because he has a direct and clear manner, on and off the pitch. As a player that is motivating.”
Tottenham left-back
Sergio Reguilon
has also revealed he has done some research about the Italian coach.
"I have to see many videos with the staff to do what they want on the pitch,"
he told the
Evening Standard.<em>
"I’m enjoying the position a lot because I can attack more but I have to run double!
“I’ve watched a lot of videos of Chelsea and Inter, and I have a friend at Inter, Achraf Hakimi, who I spoke to about the gaffer. He told me I will improve a lot under him and I want to do that as soon as possible. He said I will have to work really, really hard but I will improve a lot. In one week, I can already see that."
