manager says that the player doesn’t want to be selected to play for

Ivory Coast

and that he is reconsidering his career on the international level.

The player has been one of the most important players for his national team since 2017 when he played for the national team for the first time.

Ivory Coast manager Patrice Beaumelle has confirmed that the reason why Zaha wasn’t selected in their list for their World Cup qualifying games against Mozambique and Cameroon was that the 28-year-old winger’s decision.

“He asked not to come because he comes home sick after each meeting,”

Beaumelle told reporters after unveiling his latest Ivory Coast squad on Thursday

.

“He wants to reflect on the rest of his international career. I want soldiers, warriors who even with one knee on the ground will come to the selection.

"It is a message that I send loud and clear to each player."

Wilfried Zaha has played 21 games for his national team scoring five goals and providing five assists and the last time he played for them was on October 11 when they defeated Malawi, and now he doesn’t seem to be interested in playing for the Elephants ever again.
