Barcelona register Emerson out of four new signings

had not been registered, going into this week, notwithstanding penning contracts.

The Catalans couldn’t register their four new players because of the La Liga rules and had to reduce their salary cap.

However, now one of those four new signings is registered. As per reports from

, Emerson has been registered and can feature in Blaugrana’s La Liga opener clash against

on Sunday.

Reports claim that the 22-year-old’s move to the La Liga giants was classified differently, according to the league.

The reason behind that is Barca held half the full-back’s ownership rights, along with Real Betis, so the Brazil international was always a Barcelona player in part since his move to Atletico Mineiro in 2019, notwithstanding the fact that Ronald Koeman’s side had to pay €9million to earn his complete ownership during the summer transfer window.

Due to the technicality, they were able to register Emerson, which is a boost for Koeman as his side will start their La Liga season this weekend.

In Aguero’s case, however, there is less rush, as he is out of action for about 10 weeks due to injury.
