Kostas Tsimikas on his way out of Anfield

Tsimikas may be leaving Liverpool one year after joining the club.

with an £11.7million deal from Olympiakos last summer to be Liverpool’s back-up for their high-profile left-back

, but now it seems like the club has been considering a move for the Greece international.

The 25-year-old made only seven appearances for the Reds in all competitions, and four of them were coming in as a late substitute which is understandable considering Klopp’s interest in Andy Robertson; however, it gave the club’s new left-back a little time to show his qualities resulting in the club’s decision to part ways with the Greek full-back.

There have been reports suggesting that Napoli is interested in bringing the player to Serie A, and it seems like they prefer a loan move for Tsimikas, although the Reds are looking for a permanent which may be a problem for the transfer.

The Serie A giants prefer to sign Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, but the negotiations between the clubs seem to be going nowhere, and this has made them consider signing Tsimikas, although they want to pay no more than the fee that brought the player to Anfield from Olympiakos.
