Real Madrid plans for a 2022 move for Goretzka

The Bayern Munich midfielder entered the final year of his deal with the Bavarians and has been linked with a move to Manchester United, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid during the recent weeks.

Earlier it’s been

reported by Marca

 that

Real Madrid

are looking to repeat the trick they did signing David Alaba on a free transfer from Bayern with

Leon Goretzka

.

The Germany international, whose contract with the Bavarians is due to expire in June 2022, has been advised to stall the ongoing negotiations with Bayern over a contract renewal by the

Los Blancos

.

Now according to reports from

Bild

Goretzka

is keen on an exit from the Bundesliga in the next 12 months with a switch to Spain an interesting option for the 26-year-old.

However, since

Real Madrid

cannot afford a fee in the coming weeks, the Los Blancos will now wait to sign the 26-year-old midfielder on a free transfer at the end of next season.

With

Luka Modric

 35 and

Toni Kroos

31, Madrid needs to renew its midfield. As same as Toni Kroos when he joined

Real Madrid

in 2017 on a $27.50m deal from Bavaria,

Goretzka

is a proven player who knows what it takes to represent a massive club. He’s also a key figure in the German national team, and at just 26 has plenty of room to grow and develop.

He met the back of the net eight times and contributed nine assists in 32 games he played for Bayern in the 2020-21 season, and as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe, Real Madrid has to compete with Manchester United in order to seal a transfer for the midfielder.
