After Sergio Busquets' positive COVID-19 test on Sunday, Spain's arrangements have been thrown into turmoil.

All of the senior squad's tests came back negative on Monday. Still, they will continue to follow stringent protocols until the start of the Euros, with players from the Under-21 team due to play in a friendly against Lithuania on Tuesday.

Manager Luis Enrique has constructed a parallel training shell with players basically on standby to join the main Euros team as a safeguard against future positive instances reducing his group.

Rodrigo Moreno, Pablo Fornals, Carlos Soler, and Brais Mendez were the first players to be called up to the bubble, followed by defender Raul Albiol late on Monday.

If any more COVID-19 instances occur, Kepa will also join the group, providing Luis Enrique coverage across the positions.

After losing his starting spot to Edouard Mendy, Kepa only made seven

games in 2020-21. Spain has 11 senior caps for the former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper.
