Jose Morais as Micale’s replacement at Al Hilal

Al Hilal announced on Sunday that Jose Morais will coach the club for the remainder of the season.

The club administration concluded an agreement with Portuguese coach José Morais and his assistants to lead the first team until the end of the season as a replacement to Rogério Micale,”

said the Al Hilal statement.

Brazilian coach Micale was in charge of Al Hilal in their AFC Champions League group stage campaign and they made their way through the Round of 16.

Morais is going back to Saudi Arabia for the third time as he coached Al Hazm, Al Faisaly and

Al Shabab

before.

The Portuguese has gained a lot of experience managing clubs in Germany, Tunisia, Turkey, Greece, England, Ukraine and Korea Republic, delivering K League 1 title win at Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in 2019 and 2020.

Morais will lead the club for their Saturday clash against Al Shabab as both clubs have 48 points and there are only five games left.
