Flick remains hopeful for Hernandez & Goretzka to return against PSG

Lucas Hernandez and Leon Goretzka’s return for Bayern Munich’s battle against PSG is a doubt.

Bayern Munich

manager

Hansi Flick

is hoping that

Lucas Hernandez

and

Leon Goretzka

will return to action for their second leg clash against

Paris Saint-Germain

in the Champions League quarter-final.

The duo did not feature for Bayern when they were held to a 1-1 draw with

Union Berlin

due to the injuries they sustained in the first-leg clash against PSG that came down to a 2-3 loss for the German giants.

The Bayern Munich boss gave an update on the two players.

"

I have more hope with Lucas Hernández - even if it's an injury that's more painful. With Leon, we can't take any risks because it's a muscular injury. There we just have to wait to see if the doctors give the green light,"

said Flick.

Jerome Boateng and Kingsley Coman may also not make an appearance.

"

Jerome came off with some knee problems. Coman took a blow to the top of his fibula and had some issues. But I don't think it's anything too bad,"

said Flick.

Among the players that will definitely not play on Tuesday are Robert Lewandowski, Niklas Süle, Marc Roca, Serge Gnabry, Corentin Tolisso, and Douglas Costa.
