Atletico Madrid stand firm on £103 million for Marcos Llorente

Atletico Madrid are going to need Marcos Llorente’s €120 million (£103 million) buyout clause to be met after speculations were raised surrounding the Red Devils’ interest in the Spain international and the €80 million (£68.5 million) offer they made.

Atletico Madrid

appear determined to keep

Marcos Llorente

’s services available as he helped his side lead the

La Liga

table, meeting the target nine times and contributing eight assists.

Based on reports from

Marca

, Atletico will not lower their asking price for the midfielder since

Manchester United

were keen on signing with him in January as well.

The 26-year-old moved to Atletico in 2019 from Real Madrid and played in 72 games for his side, finding the back of the net 15 times.

Llorente’s agent and uncle Julio told Cadena SER, a Spanish radio station, about the offers his nephew is receiving from clubs outside Spain.

I have received many calls about him,”

he said.

“Right now, he wants to stay at Atletico. But the last call I received about him was back in May, and it was not from a Spanish club.”
