UAE and India to play a friendly on March 29

UAE was planned to play Malaysia and Indonesia for the second round of World Cup qualifiers late in March, but both the matches have been postponed to June to be played at a centralized venue.

UAE’s

Football Association will submit a bid to AFC to host the remaining games of Group E. The decision is set to be announced by March 15 as they are currently fourth in Group E’s standing with six points from four matches.

Eight group winners and four best runners-up will progress to AFC’s 12-team final World Cup qualifying stage.
