Hoeneß lauds newcomer Richards: ‘he defended well’

Despite Hoffenheim’s defeat, the Bundesliga coach is happy with their new arrival’s defending skills.

Hoffenheim

manager, Sebastian Hoeneß, admits to being proud of his decision to bring US International,

Chris Richards

, on a loan from

Bayern Munich

despite his unimpressive performance in their defeat to

Eintracht Frankfurt

.

The Bundesliga squad, which conceded up to 37 league goals so far, included Richards as a starter following the injury crisis in their defense line.

Hoeneß, who believes all of his three men in the defense line including Richards did well, said:

"It was a pressure situation for the lad. He defended well and was very neat and tidy with the ball."

It is expected that the Hoffenheim boss will once again include Richards in their upcoming games as they prepare for Europa League and Bundesliga encounters.
