PSG should sign Messi - Paredes
Messi is close to leaving Barcelona and several clubs want to sign him.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes has expressed hope that PSG will sign Lionel Messi in the summer.
Messi's contract with Barcelona expires in the summer, and he is allowed to negotiate directly with the clubs and decide on his possible summer transfer. The Argentine superstar had planned to leave Barça last summer, but the club prevented him from leaving. However, it seems that his intention to leave is severe, and he will leave Barça in the summer as a free agent.
Manchester City and PSG are two clubs that are said to have a high chance of attracting him, and now Messi's teammate in the Argentine national team has expressed hope that Messi will go to Paris.
He told reporters:
"It's natural that everyone wants Messi on their team, but it's the role of [sporting director] Leonardo and the president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] to make the decision to convince him to join us.
"It's also a decision for Leo Messi. He'll choose the best for him but of course it would be great to have a player like him."
