Sheffield Wednesday training ground is closed

After an undefined number of Covid-19 cases the training ground gets closed.

Sheffield Wednesday

board have decided to close their training ground due to virus outbreak. The club that has recently changed their manager after some bad results and now has been showing some different performances will be forced to send the players to train at home for at least next two days.

The club has not announced the number of coronavirus cases but there will be new test results returning further this week and then the decision on opening the training ground will be made.

They sacked their manager Tony Pulis in the last week and now Neil Thompson is their temporary head coach and has been showing good results helping the Owls climb out of the relegation zone for the first time in this season after defeating Derby in their Friday Championship fixture.

They have taken 10 points from their last four matches which shows the differences between their current and previous head coach. They have won their both matches under Thompson.

The Owls had faced 12 points deduction for breaking financial rules but it was reduced to 6 points in a review session by the English Football League in November.
