Club America part ways with Herrera

Club America boss has been sacked following his bad results.

confirms that they will no longer work with their manager

Miguel Herrera

after their exit from

CONCACAF Champions League

.

Herrera was the clubs head coach since 2017 and has brought many trophies for the club but they has not been showing a good performance in this season.

They exited the Liga MX Guardianes tournament in the quarter-finals and now the club board have made their decision after Saturday’s defeat against

LAFC

which lead to their exit from CONCACAF Champions League.

Here is the club’s statement about the matter.

"Today, Club America has decided to bring to an end its working relationship with Mr. Miguel Herrera, given that it no longer fits with the sporting and administrative plan that the club has set in the medium-term,

"We thank our former coach for his commitment and dedication. However, the results and attitudes obtained on the pitch do not match the prestige of this institution, nor are they what the directors and least of all the fans are hoping for.

"We wish Mr. Herrera the very best in his future endeavors."

Herrera is one the elite head coaches in Mexico who has worked with big clubs like Monterrey and Tijuana and Mexico national team.
