Perth Glory snare point in a six-goal thriller against Shenhua

The A-League side recovered to snatch their first-ever result in the competition after giving up a two-goal lead.

Perth Glory

were able to score their first point with a 3-3 draw against

Shenhua

in Qatar on Tuesday morning.

They stablished a two-goal lead by mid-way through the second half.

But Shenhua came back with two goals which were scored by

Giovanni Moreno

and

Yu Hanchao

.

However, Glory were able to score a penalty with the help of their experienced player

Neil Kilkenny

and earn a point.

Shenhua fired their player

Cao Yunding

after the game because they missed the chance to put themselves in the box seat for qualification.

The best part of the game was the two amazing free-kicks from

Fornaroli

and

Armiento

, which gave Glory a shock two-goal lead.

Fornaroli scored his first goal in Asian competition, while Armiento scored with his first kick of the ball, as his curled shot crept in despite the goalkeeper getting a hand on the ball.

Perth Glory have already been eliminated from the competition and they will face

FC Tokyo

on Thursday.
