Mings- Bellingham “achieved so much in such a short space of time”

Jude Bellingham joined the U21 team at first. Because of his impressive performance, he advanced to Gareth Southgate's senior camp. He entered the squad due to the leaving of Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold and Southampton's James Ward-Prowse for their injuries.

Bellingham appeared in the Bundesliga six times. During summer, he joined Borussia Dortmund from Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham.

The debut performance of the 17-year-old for Birmingham was last season. Following his accomplishment at St Andrew’s, the club drew back his No 22 shirt ensuing his swap to Germany.

Mings said: "For someone who has achieved so much in such a short space of time, he seems to be very grounded and humble.”

"I have had the opportunity to see him in training over the past couple of days, and what a fantastic talent he looks."

"I know he is from the blue side of Birmingham, but I have got no problem in admitting what a fantastic player he is and what a fantastic lad he seems.”

England encounter the Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Thursday. Before that, there will be a trip before travelling to Belgium on Sunday and hailing Iceland on Wednesday to round off UEFA Nations League Group A2.

Recently, the UK Government permit none of Iceland's players to enter the country for the competition if they were to Denmark before. That’s due to the spread of coronavirus.

Mings continued: "We are about preparing for each game as it comes and controlling the 'controllables' really." "We can't control whether that game (Iceland) goes ahead, or where it goes ahead, the different situations which will affect that game.
