Euro 2020 – Day 25 Review

Why is the Roma star under investigation? What made Patrice Evra become a hilarious social media content creator? Who will do Peter Crouch’s iconic robot dance if they score in the semifinal? Here is everything you need to know about Euro 2020 day 25.

The Vigilante

Roma

star Stephan El Shaarawy is believed to be under investigation by Italian police for allegedly beating up a thief, who was reportedly trying to steal the footballer’s Lamborghini. Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera claim that the 28-year-old forward may have caused severe injuries to the thief who attempted to steal the supercar. The incident happened long ago on February 12th, but the charges against El Shaarawy are recent and the Italian star is awaiting further investigation.

The Italy international was reportedly playing videogames with his fellow footballer Alessio Cerci when he saw the thief outside and caught him red-handed. It is claimed that El Shaarawy left the mansion and started chasing the culprit, pinning him down after a short while and severely injuring him with a beat down.

The Joker

It seems that Patrice Evra has chosen a new career path as a part-time comedian. He once again donned a silly outfit as he held in his hand raw fish and chips to show his support for the England national team. The former France international sat in the backseat of his car and continually shouted “Go England”, “coming home” and “fish and chips” as he asked the England squad if they are ready.

He posted the clip on social media with the caption saying: “EVRASIS, been waiting for too long.” We can only hope to see Evra continue his newfound career and bring us even more great moments. The former

Manchester United

defender had previously been seen donning the jerseys of Denmark,

Belgium

, Portugal and Wales in the past stages of the tournament. It all seems to be going great for Evra as he has attracted quite a lot of attention from around the world with his antics.

A nation’s pride

Denmark were headed back home yesterday as hundreds of

Denmark

fans came to recieve their national team at home as they are set to start their journey towards the semifinals. The official Denmark national team Instagram posted a clip and several pictures to show how much the fans actually love their national team, with the caption saying: “Once again: Thank you very much for a fantastic reception.”

One particular image showed Denmark fans using cranes to hold the Danish flag in the air as the team bus passed from under a bridge. The national team were simply amazed by the support as they dubbed their supporters “the wildest fans”. Denmark will lock horns with England tomorrow at Wembley for a chance to go through to the Euro 2020 final itself.

Denmark have been one of the surprises of the tournament as they have been able to reach the semifinals with several decisive victories. Even though they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Finland in the opening day of their group stage due to the team spirit taking a blow after

Christian Eriksen

suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, they have since managed to turn themselves into one of the strongest title contenders in Euro 2020.

A giant’s wish

We all know and adore former striker Peter Crouch and we would all like to see him grace the pitch for England once again. It seems that he too would want to play for England once again as he recently claimed that he would trade all his England caps in a heartbeat to play with the current England squad.

The 40-year-old former England international, who has gained an iconic status for his unbelievable height, also claimed that the current England squad might turn out to be the country’s best players ever produced in their history, adding that Declan Rice has promised to do the iconic Robot dance if he scores in the semifinal.
