Youngest Premier League Players of 2020

Who are the youngest current Premier League players? We mean actually the youngest Premier League players this season (2019-20), and also we mean the youngest players who have been used on the pitch not those kept on subs bench.

This is important because there are and there always have been players on the bench who were never used as a sub. They should be used on the pitch so that we could call them active players.

And we just refer to the

youngest current players in the Premier League

who have been active or in other words used on the pitch.

Premier League Youngest Players of 2020

The list of youngest Premier League players this season (2019-20) starts with Curtis Jones of

Liverpool

with an age of 19 years and 7 months. As we already mentioned, in this post, we only refer to the youngest EPL players of 2020 who have been active (used on the pitch) in 2019-20 season.

Mason Greenwood (18 Years and 11 Months)

The first Manchester United player who also tops the list of youngest Premier League players of 2020,

Mason Greenwood

is actually a product of Manchester United who’s been serving the Premier League club as a senior player since 2018. He has also played for the Manchester United youth team for 11 years between 2007 and 2018.

Greenwood has made 35 appearances for Manchester United since 2018 and has scored 10 goals for them during this time which actually translates to two goals in every 7 appearances he has made for the Premier League giants. The young Man Utd forward was born on Ocotber 1, 2001, so by now (September 21, 2020), he’s exactly 18 years, 11 months, and 20 days old.

Bukayo Saka (19 Years and 16 Days)

The first Arsenal player on the list of

youngest Premier League players of 2020

, Bukayo Saka is actually a product of Arsenal and has been playing for the Premier League club as a senior player since 2018 - just like Mason Greenwood who has been serving Man Utd since the same year.

However, unlike Greenwood, Saka has not scored that many goals. He has scored only once in the 28 appearances he has made for

Arsenal

which is quite justifiable if you consider that he plays both as a winger and left back.

Saka is actually an English footballer with Nigerian origin. He was born on September 5, 2001, so by now, he’s exactly 19 years and 16 days old. He has also played for the English under-aged national teams (U16, U17, U18, U19, and U21) since 2017 and has scored 6 goals in total in all the 27 appearances he has made for them.

Curtis Jones (19 Years and 7 Months)

Occupying the third position on the list of youngest Premier League players of 2020,

Curtis Jones

is a central midfielder who currently plays for the Premier League club, Liverpool. Jones was born on January 30, 2001, so by now, he’s exactly 19 years, 7 months, and 22 days old.

Jones is a product of Liverpool and has started playing for the Premier League club as a senior player since 2019 - actually for one year. He has made 7 appearances for Liverpool so far and even has scored one goal for them. That’s quite brilliant for a young midfielder and shows that he has also some goal scoring talent too.

youngest EPL player of 2020

, Curtis Jones.

Like Jones,

Hudson-Odoi

is also the product of the club he’s currently serving: Chelsea. He’s actually been serving the Premier League club as a senior player since 2017 - 2 years more than Jones, and during this time has made 35 appearances for them and has scored only one goal for them. Hudson-Odoi has also made 3 appearances for the England national team - since 2019 - but has not scored any goal for them so far.

Tariq Lamptey (19 Years and 11 Months)

The first English player on the list of youngest Premier League players of 2020 with an African origin - Ghanaian origin actually,

Tariq Lamptey

is the third youngest EPL player of 2020 who currently plays for the Premier League club, Brighton and Hove Albion.

Lamptey was born on 30 September 2000, so by now, he’s exactly 19 years, 11 months, and 22 days old - only 37 days older than the second position on the list.

Like Hudson-Odoi, Tariq Lamptey is also a product of Chelsea, but he’s not currently with Chelsea. He joined Brighton and Hove Albion in January 2020 on a three-and-half-a-year contract and during his time with Chelsea only made one appearance for them.

Lamptey has never scored to this date, either for Chelsea or for Brighton and Hove Albion, however, knowing that he’s a defender, that’s not a flaw in his play.

Pedro Neto (20 Years and 6 Months)

The first non-English footballer on the list of

youngest Premier League players of 2020

, Pedro Neto is a Portuguese winger who currently plays for the Premier League club, Wolverhampton Wonderers. Neto was born on March 9, 2000, so by now, he’s exactly 20 years, 6 months and 12 days old.

The young Portuguese footballer has also played for Lazio during his senior career, namely between 2017 and 2019 and on loan. Anyway, he’s now a player of the Premier League club, Wolverhampton Wonderers and has made the most number of appearances for them too: 29.

Moise Kean

is currently playing for the Premier League club, Everton. He was born on February 28, 2000, and is by now, exactly, 20 years, 6 months and 24 days old.

We cannot say Kean is for sure the product of this club or that club, but the club he has served the most during his career - both youth and senior - is Juventus.
