Mac Allister wants the ‘next step’ to be within Premier League

World Cup hero Alexis Mac Allister wants his next club to be a Premier League one, with the likes of Liverpool and Man City in pursuit

Brighton Hove & Albion

midfielder Alexis Mac Allister who won the World Cup with Argentina late last year, wants his next step to come in the Premier League.

Mac Allister

played a big part in Argentina’s World Cup-winning campaign which has had several top clubs looking to sign him. The 24-year-old has been a main target for both City and Liverpool. The Reds, especially might go all in on him since they desperately need midfield reinforcements.

"I don't have a particular team where I say 'this is the way I play'. I think that here in the Premier League, there are very strong teams that play very well, like Manchester City and Arsenal,"

he told TyC Sports.

"Chelsea too, I had [Graham] Potter as coach and I know the idea he has of playing football.

"Manchester United are returning to be what they were, and Liverpool are going through some ups and downs but they still have a very important team.

"If I have to say a place, I would like my next step to be in the Premier League. But the truth is that I am very focused here in Brighton and enjoying the present."
