Henderson praised Bellingham but insist he should not be overrated

Bellingham is the target of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, and his recent performances have drawn a lot of attention to him.

Jordan Henderson

has praised

England

star

Jude Bellingham

but insists he should not be overrated.

The Dortmund star, who is 19 years old, has become one of the stars of the Bundesliga and has also shone in the English national team. He is rumored to be interested in several Premier League clubs, and reports suggest that Liverpool are seriously monitoring his situation. While praising Bellingham, the Liverpool captain claimed that paying too much attention to Bellingham may affect his progress.

Henderson said:

“I like Jude, I think he's an amazing player. He's a fantastic professional and his mentality is really key for his development. I almost don't want to big him up too much because he's still a young lad! There will be a lot of pressure on him at a young age, but of course he's a top, top player, and I'm sure he'll have a big part to play in Qatar.”

Liverpool are struggling with injuries in their midfield, with Henderson, James Milner and Thiago Alcantara all over 30, so major changes are needed in their midfield.

Asked about England's chance in World Cup, Henderson said:

"We've gone close in the Euros last year and obviously the previous World Cup, so we've had a taste of what it feels like to go far, but obviously there was the disappointment and the hurt of not quite getting over the line, so I hope we can use that going into this tournament."
