Inter concerned after Brozovic limps off in Croatia vs Austria

The Nerazzurri are awaiting news from the staff of the Croatia international team after the club midfielder limped off after 18 minutes into the game against Austria in the Nations League.

Marcelo Brozovic

, the

Inter

midfielder, was in the starting line-up for the battle against

Austria

with the

Croatia

national team but he was soon sent off. The score was 1-1 at that point in the Nations League match.

The midfielder apparently suffered a left thigh injury very early in the game and limped off, but it is not yet confirmed. The player would not have been able to play for his side in their next battle against Roma anyway as he was suspended. According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, Kristjan Asllani will be his replacement in the centre of the midfield three.

Should he have sustained a hamstring or thigh strain, he might be sidelined for several weeks. The club’s main concern is the battle against

Barcelona

in the Champions League, which is scheduled to take place on October 4. They will go against one another once against on October 12 at Camp Nou. Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are siting top of the group, having gained six points, while Barcelona and Inter come next.
