Patrick Vieira sure Wilfried Zaha wants Crystal Palace stay

Reports say that Jose Mourinho wants to bring Wilfried Zaha to Roma, but Patrick Vieira is sure that the forward will stay at Crystal Palace.

Patrick Vieira

, the manager of

Crystal Palace

, says that winger

Wilfried Zaha

is happy at Selhurst Park and that rumors about him moving to

Roma

are "just a report."

Zaha was once again one of Palace's best players in the 2021-22 season. He was involved in 15 goals, four more than any other teammate. Last season, the Ivory Coast player scored 14 goals in the

English Premier League

. This was his best season in the Premier League.

But Zaha's contract with Palace is about to end, and there are rumors that Jose Mourinho's Roma team wants to sign the 29-year-old. Zaha didn't go with Palace on their preseason trip to Australia and Singapore, but Vieira is sure that the forward doesn't want to leave.

"I think it's just a report," Vieira said before a friendly match against

Liverpool

on Friday in Singapore. "We are in a time when a lot of talk is going on about players. The most important thing for me and the football club is that Wilfried Zaha came back on time and is working hard to have a good season.

"It is hard for us to control what is in the papers. I know he is happy at our football club and is looking forward to the upcoming season." In recent years, clubs like Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, and

Borussia Dortmund

have talked about buying Zaha, but Palace has been able to keep their star player.

Vieira hopes that Zaha will be able to play when Palace hosts Arsenal on August 5 to start their Premier League season.
