Klopp on Liverpool injury update ahead of Wolves and UCL final

Jurgen Klopp said that he can't "100% say" that Fabinho, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah will play against Wolves on Sunday, but that it "looks good" that the three will be on the field.

Virgil Van Dijk

and Salah both got hurt during the Reds' FA Cup win over

Chelsea

on Saturday, so they weren't in the team that went to Southampton on Wednesday.

Fabinho

, on the other hand, has been out a little bit longer.

Jurgen Klopp

had said before that none of the three players were likely to miss the

Champions League final

next weekend. However, he was less sure about their availability for his team's last domestic game of the season. Klopp said before the Wolves game that he hadn't decided if the three players would play or not.

He said, "I'm not sure what we'll do this weekend." "We will never take any risks. It looks good. The boys move forward. My ideal solution would be for them to play on the weekend or maybe sit on the bench. I can't say 100 percent ."

Klopp was also glad to hear that defender

Joe Gomez

avoided a serious ankle injury after limping off during the 2-1 win over Southampton and should be ready to play. "Joe Gomez has some great news. We needed another scan. It's just a tap on the door, "Klopp said.

Liverpool is currently one point behind the team in the first place, Manchester City, which plays Aston Villa in its last game. If City wins, they will win the Premier League for the second year in a row. If they lose, the Reds will have a chance to beat them to the title.
