Stroppa: “If we only play well, we are going nowhere”

Crotone head coach reveals the reason behind him being annoyed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s second goal and believes his side must concentrate on outcomes rather than performances.

Crotone

were defeated by

Milan

with a thumping 4-0 result.

We made mistakes on the first and the second goal. We proved to be vulnerable and those six-seven minutes between their second and fourth goal were absurd,

Giovanni Stroppa

said.

We faced a great team, we shouldn’t have been this vulnerable, I am really sorry for this.”

Crotone sit rock-bottom on the Serie A table and when the interviewer tried to praise their play, he responded: “

Stop saying we are playing well, if we only play well, we are going nowhere.”

“I am sorry there was no reaction, we didn’t play badly, but we were not focused when it mattered. I don’t want our playing style to be more important than results.

“Today we conceded a goal on a throw in, it happened the same against Genoa last week, these things are really annoying me.”
