Celta Vigo’s Lucas Olaza swaps for Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid signed away Celta Vigo midfielder Lucas Olaza on the transfer deadline.

Lucas Olaza

moved to

Celta Vigo

on a loan deal from

Boca Juniors

in 2019 and speculations were rising regarding Eduardo Coudet offering a permanent deal to the 26-year-old by the end of the season.

However, what permitted

Real Valladolid

to come into the picture was that Celta informed Boca they are unable to pay his €4m purchase clause in the summer.

Valladolid manager Sergio Gonzalez swooped in to meet Boca’s requirements and sign a loan deal with an option to buy on the deadline day.

The Uruguayan has played a crucial role for Celta during the last two seasons, featuring in 63 matches.
