Saliba ready to cut his salary to move to Ligue 1

Saliba is interested in going back to Saint-Etienne as his future in Arsenal is in doubt.

After a successful period in 2018-19,

William Saliba

was signed for

Arsenal

in the Unai Emery era but spent a season in

Saint-Etienne.

After he came back to Arsenal, despite paying a considerably high amount of money for him,

Arteta

didn’t even include his name in the Europa League list.

Canal Plus from France reports that Saliba is ready to cut his wage to £90,000 a month in order to finalize his move to the French side again. The French defender who is not liked by Mikel Arteta, the Spanish manager of Arsenal is currently getting paid £160,000 a month in Arsenal.

Saliba jokingly claimed on social media last month that he is 'locked up' at Arsenal in the same way Matteo Guendouzi was before his exile and a subsequent loan move to Hertha Berlin. Saliba believes that he is in the same state as Guendouzi who is playing for the German side currently as a loanee.
