Nagelsmann calls their performance ‘a mix of quality and attitude’

Continuing their streak of great results, Bayern were once again glorious in their dispatching of Mainz at Allianz Arena

After somewhat of a slow start to the season, where Bayern had to find their rhythm again without their star player, Robert Lewandowski, it seems that Nagelsmann’s team is hitting their stride once again after they dished out yet another thrashing, when they beat Mainz 6-2 today.

This would be Bayern’s 6th win in a row in a performance that their manager described as "fun to watch". Gnabry, Sane and Musiala all scored in the first half. It was then followed by goals from Goretzka, tel and Choupo-Moting who mark the occasion as only the third time in Bundesliga that they had 6 different goal scorers in a single match.

Bayern now moves to the top of the table, overtaking Union Berlin, and Nagelsmann couldn’t be happier about the occasion, saying that:

"I think we had difficult five to 10 minutes at the beginning of the first and second half. Otherwise, we did really well.

"Big compliment to the team for performing this way every three days. It's fun to watch – a mix of quality and attitude. Compliments to my players."

Regarding the performance of their star signing Mane, Nagelsmann told the reporters that:

"I'm happy with Sadio Mane's performance. The development of the past two weeks was good because of his position.

"He plays more on the wing where he played at Liverpool. He did well today, like he did in Barcelona and hopefully will continue this way."
