Ancelotti and memories of Bayern

An enjoyable period with Bayern and great respect for future challenges

The Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, who currently oversees Real Madrid, referred to his previous training period for Bayern Munich with more emphasis, expressing his great pleasure during this period that lasted for about a season and a half.

His statements came before the anticipated confrontation between his current team Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday, on the ground of Allianz Arena, within the framework of the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

It is noteworthy that Ancelotti was dismissed from coaching Bayern Munich in mid-2018 due to a series of negative results achieved by the team at that time.

In a press conference before the match, a question was directed to Ancelotti about his desire for revenge, but he confirmed that there is no desire for revenge, indicating that he was lucky to coach Bayern Munich, and despite the possibility of continuing for a longer period, he retains very good memories during his period there.

He added that “Real Madrid” and “Bayern Munich” are among the strongest teams in the history of football, indicating that both teams have diverse playing methods and the value of either cannot be reduced in the Champions League, confirming the great respect he has for the two teams.

About the statements of coach Thomas Tuchel, in which he indicated that his player Serge Gnabry will score in the match, Ancelotti said that Gnabry has the ability to score goals in the same way that other players like Jamal Musiala, Harry Kane and Leroy Sane have.

He pointed out that in addition to Gnabry, his team has other players like Vinicius, who has a great chance to score, confirming the great respect for all Bayern Munich players.

About his opinion of Thomas Tuchel, Ancelotti praised his tactical skills, confirming that he has a lot of respect and appreciation for him.

During the press session, Ancelotti was asked in German, but he admitted that he had forgotten this language, indicating that his son is the one who is proficient in it well.

Regarding the presence of player Jeremy De Leon, with the first team in Munich, despite his absence from the official list, Ancelotti explained that this came as a result of the team’s need for an additional player during training, indicating the seriousness and diligence of De Leon in training and his ability to contribute effectively.

It is noteworthy that the Puerto Rican player joined Real Madrid last January, and despite not being qualified to participate in the Champions League, he participates in training and contributes to preparing the team.
