LA Galaxy to sign Luis Suarez after the Qatar World Cup

Luis Suarez rejoined the club he started his career with, Nacional, on a short-term contract last summer. The former Liverpool and Barca striker is linked with a move to LA Galaxy after his last World Cup this winter.

This November’s

Qatar World Cup

will be the fourth, and perhaps the last World Cup tournament

Luis Suarez

has experienced after helping his side reach the semi-finals in 2010.  Despite having a huge impact on European football, Suarez confirmed that his career in Europe is now over after he joined the Uruguayan side

Nacional

last summer.

Putting all of his focus on the upcoming World Cup, the Uruguayan delayed negotiations until the end of the tournament. However, according to

RAC1

, Suarez will join

LA Galaxy

after the World Cup where he joins his former Barcelona teammate

, Riqui Puig

in MLS.

After making 132 appearances for

Uruguay

, scoring 68 goals in the process, Suarez hopes to end his international career in style.

Suarez said:

"This is generated by Pajarito [Federico Valverde], Darwin [Nunez], Ronald [Araujo] and Rodri [Bentancur]. Players at the top level in Europe generate this.

"This is a prize for the work that our country does. Uruguay will always try and compete at the World Cup at their maximum. To try to go as far as possible and why not to be the champions? Because we have players for this.

"Even though we know the difficulty that each game at a World Cup represents, we always have a real belief."
