A postponed match offers a gift: Manchester United opens the door for Chelsea by defeating Newcastle with three goals in the Premier League

On Wednesday evening, Manchester United presented a valuable gift to Chelsea after its exciting victory over Newcastle United with a score of 3-2 in a postponed match from round 34 of the Premier League.

United made the difference in the match through three goals scored by Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, and Rasmus Hojlund in the 31st, 57th, and 84th minutes respectively, while Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall reduced the gap for Newcastle in the 49th and 90+2 minutes.

With this result, Manchester United was unable to improve its position in the standings, remaining in eighth place with 57 points, and Newcastle fell to seventh place, allowing Chelsea to advance to sixth place with a three-point difference.

With this victory, Manchester United’s hopes of qualifying for one of the European championships continued, amid fierce competition with Chelsea and Newcastle.

The match began with Newcastle controlling the play and continually threatening Andre Onana’s goal, but the first opportunity was not accurate enough to score.

As time passed, United was able to shine and threaten Newcastle’s goal with dangerous shots, but to no avail.

But thanks to a quick counterattack, Garnacho succeeded in sending a ball inside the penalty area to give Mino the opportunity to open the scoring.

Despite Newcastle’s demand for a penalty after Gordon fell inside United’s penalty area, the referee did not count it after checking the video technology.

Newcastle almost equalized the score with a header from Dan Burn, but Casemiro’s intervention saved his team’s goal.

In the second half, Gordon succeeded in scoring the equalizing goal for Newcastle after a precise pass from Murphy. But Newcastle wasted the opportunity to advance thanks to Amrabat’s wonderful intervention that prevented a dangerous attack.

On United’s side, Diallo succeeded in regaining the lead with an amazing shot from outside the penalty area.

After that, Hojlund added the third goal for United with a powerful crawling shot, but Hall reduced the gap for Newcastle again with a powerful shot in stoppage time.

With these events, the match ended with Manchester United winning 3-2, thus blowing the final whistle on a great battle of competition and rivalry between the competing teams in the Premier League.
