Lessons and strategies in the classic match between Al Hilal and Al Ahli Jeddah
The Al Hilal Saudi football team led its classic match against Al Ahli Jeddah to victory, in a match on Monday evening, with a score of (2-1), which was postponed from the 28th round in the Saudi Professional League.
With this victory, the points of the “Blue” team rose to 86 points, occupying the top of the standings in the Roshn League, and they are only one point away from clinching the title.
As for the Al Ahli Jeddah team, its balance froze at 55 points in the third place, after a distinguished performance it presented throughout 90 minutes against Al Hilal.

Jesus added a defensive pairing between Saud and Tambakti to face the French movements of Allan Saint-Maximin, the star of Al Ahli, while Ali Al Bulaihi and Lodi were responsible for Riyad Mahrez.
Jesus also moved Malcom from the wing position to the left side, which allowed him to go deep and cooperate with Michel Delgado on the right side, alongside striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Portuguese coach wanted to take advantage of Al Ahli’s weakness in the fullbacks, by pressuring them and closing the spaces on both sides.
For his part, Matthias Jaissle, the German coach of Al Ahli, relied on the same formation (4-2-3-1), and succeeded in controlling the match thanks to a distinguished performance from the attacking trio.
The team captain, Roberto Firmino, played a major role in organizing the attacks, while Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin presented a great performance that contributed to achieving the victory.
Al Ahli also benefited from the weakness of the duo Lodi and Tambakti in the ranks of Al Hilal, and this contributed to the ability of Mahrez and Saint-Maximin to exploit the empty spaces.
Despite Malcom’s focus on the left wing, he was a distinguished player in the match, as he provided a decisive pass to Mitrovic in the first goal, and scored the second goal after a distinctive individual penetration.
