Klopp doesn't believe in Minamino, says Redknapp

The midfielder joined Liverpool last year and it was considered a good deal but it never worked out for him in Liverpool.

for the rest of the season with a short-term loan deal. Minamino who signed for Liverpool last year after his brilliant performance in the Champions League against the Reds, struggled to find his form in

.

He didn’t get many chances to find momentum and Jurgen Klopp eventually decided to send him out on loan. The 26-year-old midfielder was excellent for Austrian side Salzburg during his 5-year stay at the club and now will play under an Austrian manager. Redknapp believes that Liverpool don’t need him.

“Well, he’s not done it at Liverpool, has he?”

the former Saints manager told Sky Sports.

“If Liverpool fancied him they wouldn’t have let him go.

“They wouldn’t be letting players go out on loan if they weren’t any use to the squad.

“If he [Klopp] felt that he was of any use then he would have kept him there. But his form hasn’t been good and he hasn’t looked good enough, to be fair, at the moment.”
