Bruno Fernandes reassures fans

The star Bruno Fernandes clarifies the reality of the atmosphere inside the team’s dressing room, and reveals the role of the legend Darren Fletcher in the victory journey

Manchester United team captain, Bruno Fernandes, denied any disturbance in the team’s changing room, due to the widespread concern about the future of coach Erik ten Hag.

The acquisition of Sir Jim Ratcliffe of 25% of Manchester United’s shares, along with new appointments in key positions such as the CEO and the sports director, raised doubts about ten Hag’s future, especially in light of the fluctuations of the artistic offers.

Fernandes, in statements reported by the “Daily Mail” newspaper, stressed the need not to be affected by these matters, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the remaining matches in the current season, referring to the team’s chances in competing for the European positions in the league, and the necessity to end the season with the best possible performance, before the final match in the English FA Cup.

He added that it is not their duty to worry about external or internal matters, where officials and owners handle these aspects, while the team focuses on its performance on the field and achieving the maximum benefit from its capabilities.

On the other hand, Fernandes revealed the role of former player Darren Fletcher in preparing the team to face Coventry City, which ended with Manchester United’s victory in penalty kicks after a 3-3 draw in regular and extra time.

Fernandes pointed to the importance of pride in achieving victory, confirming the difficulties facing the teams in reaching the final of the English FA Cup, reviewing the history and contributions of Fletcher with the club, and his role in motivating the players before the match.

He also expressed the team’s frustration at the end of the match with a draw, but he confirmed their pride in reaching the final, with the aspiration to improve their performance this season after their loss in the last final against their neighbor Manchester City.
