The Healing Adventure: Zamalek’s attempts to restore its players’ sparkle

Injury challenges and optimism for victory in the Confederation Cup

The special doctor of Zamalek team, Dr. Mohamed Osama, said that the results of the examinations conducted on the player Ahmed Fotouh, who plays in the left-back position, revealed the extent of his injury.

In his statements to the media today, Wednesday, Dr. Osama explained that the examinations showed that Fotouh suffers from a first-degree strain in the thigh muscle, and he is currently being prepared to join the group training as soon as possible.

As for the player Ahmed Mustafa “Zizo”, the club’s special doctor confirmed that the player will undergo an MRI scan tomorrow, Thursday, to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in his ankle, after the swelling that appeared in his foot due to the injury he suffered during the summit match against Al Ahly disappears.

Reports yesterday, Tuesday, indicated that Zizo suffers from a severe bruise, and that the swelling in his foot prevents him from undergoing radiation to accurately determine the extent of the injury, which means that he is likely to be absent from the Dreams Ghanaian match.

Zamalek players, led by Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, are preparing to face Dreams Ghanaian and they enjoy high morale, after their victory yesterday, Monday, with a score of 2-1 in the summit match against Al Ahly, in the match that was postponed from the tenth round of the Egyptian League.

Zamalek is trying to prepare to play the Dreams Ghanaian match in the first leg of the Confederation Cup semi-finals, which will be held next Sunday at Cairo International Stadium.
