Bayern’s victory: An exciting journey to the semi-finals

Outstanding performance and a stunning goal lead Bayern to victory over Arsenal and thrilling qualification

 

On Wednesday evening, Bayern Munich managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League after beating its guest Arsenal with a clean goal, in the second leg of the quarter-finals at the Allianz Arena. Joshua Kimmich scored the only goal for Bayern in the 63rd minute, and with this victory, the Bavarian team managed to qualify after drawing in the first leg with a score of 2-2.

Today’s match started with clear control from Bayern Munich, where the team came close to shaking the opponent’s net in the fourth minute thanks to a pass from Kimmich, but the ball passed next to the post. Then Kim returned for another attempt in the sixth minute, but his shot hit an opponent and went far from the goal.

Arsenal responded in the eighth minute with a shot from Martinelli, but the ball also went next to the post. Despite a period of calm, Bayern Munich returned with a strong shot from Musiala in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper Raya was in the right place to save it. Then, Odegaard shot a dangerous ball, but Bayern’s goalkeeper Neuer saved it.

Arsenal came close to scoring in the 31st minute, but Neuer saved his goal from a shot from Martinelli. In the 40th minute, there was another chance for Arsenal with a shot from Ben White, but it went far from the goal, and the first half ended with a goalless draw.

In the second half, Odegaard from Arsenal tried to score a goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Goretzka wasted a real opportunity for Bayern Munich, but his header hit the post, and then Guerrero followed it but his shot hit Saliba and then the post as well.

In the 87th minute, Musiala penetrated and shot a ball that Raya caught. Arsenal tried to score the equalizing goal in the 88th minute, but Odegaard’s shot hit the post.

In the 90th minute, Ken took advantage of a counter-attack and passed the ball to Musiala who shot but Raya saved the ball, and thus the match ended with Bayern Munich winning 1-0 and qualifying for the semi-finals.
